The 2025 Porsche 911 Turbo is a top-tier sports car that represents the pinnacle of performance within the iconic 911 lineup. It is part of the "992.2" generation and continues to be offered in both Turbo and Turbo S variants, as well as a Cabriolet (convertible) version for each.
Key Features and Performance
Engine: The 2025 Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S models are powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine.
911 Turbo: This version produces 572 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a blistering 2.7 seconds (with the Sport Chrono package) and has a top speed of 199 mph.
911 Turbo S: The even more powerful Turbo S boasts 640 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. It is capable of a 0-60 mph sprint in just 2.6 seconds and has a top speed of 205 mph.
Transmission and Drivetrain: Both models come with an 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) dual-clutch transmission and an advanced all-wheel-drive system (AWD).
Aerodynamics: The 911 Turbo features active aerodynamics, with a variable front spoiler and a massive rear wing that automatically adjust to optimize downforce and stability at high speeds.
Chassis and Handling: The car is equipped with advanced systems like Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which constantly adjusts the damping force on each wheel. It also features rear-axle steering for improved agility at low speeds and enhanced stability at high speeds.
New Features and Refinements
While the core of the 911 Turbo remains consistent, the 2025 model year brings some notable updates as part of the 992.2 generation:
A refreshed exterior design: The new 911 has revised LED headlights, a redesigned rear light band, and an updated rear decklid grille. The front and rear bumpers also have a more refined, slightly boxier look.
Fully digital instrument cluster: For the first time in a 911, the iconic central analog tachometer has been replaced with a fully digital instrument cluster, though it can be configured to display a traditional tachometer.
A start/stop button: Another break from tradition, the ignition is now operated by a start/stop button placed to the left of the steering wheel.
Optional T-Hybrid system: While the Turbo models themselves are not currently confirmed with the hybrid system, the new T-Hybrid technology (an electrically assisted turbocharger) has been introduced in other 911 models, such as the GTS, which suggests a possible direction for future Turbo generations.
